Children of fallen security forces were shown the “Water Rescue” program
At the Rublevo search and rescue station, demonstration performances “Water Rescue” were held for children and family members of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.
The event was organized by the charitable foundation “Defender of Happiness”, the Moscow Department of Civil Defense and the public organization “Grandchildren”.
As Alexander Antonenko, president of the charitable foundation “Defender of Happiness,” noted, such events have been held for several years now and always arouse constant interest among children and their parents.
The event began with athletes performing on hydroflyboards. Spectators saw jumping, flying over water and other spectacular stunts. Next, the rescue service demonstrated how to rescue a drowning person.
As part of the demonstration performances, rescuers acted out a situation where a drowning person (the role was played by a professional diver) was rescued by a rescuer who swam up on a boat.
At the end of the program, the children enjoyed an exciting boat ride.
“I believe that such a program is not only spectacular, but also has great practical benefits, introduces children to water rescue skills, and has important preventive value,” said Tatyana Pop, head of the public organization “Grandchildren.”
