Girl from “Servants” and Mejlis member Umerov: new leadership of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE elected
Members of the permanent delegation of the Verkhovna Rada to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe elected 28-year-old Elizaveta Yasko as chairman of the Verkhovna Rada delegation to PACE, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
People's Deputy Alexey Goncharenko reported this on his Facebook page.
“We elected Elizaveta Yasko (SN) as the head of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE. Sergei Sobolev (Batkivshchyna) was elected first deputy, Rustem Umerov (Voice) was elected deputy,” Goncharenko wrote.
According to him, two candidates from the same “Servant of the People” faction – Elizaveta Yasko and Maria Mezentseva – were vying for the head of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE.
Yasko is known for her closeness to Ukrainian businessman and PR man Gennady Kurochka, founder of the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center. She was one of the frontmen of the failed pro-Maidan party “European Hundred”, is a lecturer at the Ukrainian Catholic University and producer of the propaganda film “Crimea: Russia’s Dirty Secret”, which promotes the Ukrainian version of the Crimean events of 2014.
