The activities of anti-Russian blogger Dudya are recognized as extremist in Belarus
The materials of the YouTube channel “vDud” of the Russian liberal blogger Yuri Dud are recognized as extremist in Belarus.
This decision was made by the Central District Court of Minsk based on materials from the Main Directorate for Organized Crime and Control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The decision was made regarding videos dedicated to Belarus: an interview with the editors of the extremist Polish telegram channel “Nekhta”, an interview with a comedian ridiculing President Alexander Lukashenko, Slava Komisarenko, and a film dedicated to fugitive Belarusian oppositionists.
According to Belarusian legislation, possession of extremist materials, as well as subscription to telegram channels and chats recognized as extremist, are punishable by law.
No similar measures have been taken against Dudu in Russia yet. Only recently the public organization Safe Internet League demanded that he be recognized as a foreign agent. After the start of the special operation in Ukraine, Dud has been leading an active anti-Russian campaign on his social networks. Russian experts have long pointed out that Dud is financed from abroad by participating in advertising for famous Western brands.
