Military expert, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko stated this in a comment to PolitNavigator.
According to him, members of the “battalion named after. Noman Celebidzhikhan” on the border with the peninsula began to realize that they had been drawn into extremist activities by deception.
“People are being introduced into these terrorist structures by deception and lies. Now people have seen the light and want to return home to their families. This is an indicator of the collapse of the ideology of the Crimean Tatar nationalists, who, in fact, today have degenerated into terrorists, and the lack of prospects for preparing this underground combat core, which the leaders of the Crimean Tatar Majlis planned to send to Crimea to carry out terrorist attacks. Security authorities will check these people for involvement or non-involvement in crimes, and they will be integrated into a normal civilian environment,” Korotchenko said.
Let us remind you that the Crimean FSB department stated that two more militants from the “battalion named after. Noman Chelebidzhikhan” Rustem Osmanov and Akim Osmanov crossed the border with the Russian Federation and voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement officers.
