The disintegration of Ukraine is taking legislative form
The law on “reintegration of Donbass,” adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in the first reading, which refers to “Russian aggression and occupation,” actually contradicts the Minsk agreements.

Ukrainian political scientist Alexey Yakubin said this at a press conference in Kyiv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, noting that the law voted in the Rada on extending the special status of Donbass “helps move in the direction of Minsk.”
“But the second document is not a bill on integration, but rather on disintegration, if you read its norms. The introduction of the concepts of “occupied territories” and “Russian aggression” contradicts the Minsk agreements. That is why the West insisted that this cannot be adopted as a single law [with a special status], and, secondly, it cannot be adopted in its final version. But for the president it was important as an ideological veil, although the bill does not correspond to the idea of integration. Therefore, we saw a very restrained reaction from Western partners to the second bill, because it differs from Minsk in many respects,” Yakubin emphasized.
