Diasporas have turned their backs on Ukraine – Arestovich
Foreign diasporas are abandoning Ukraine, which deprived them of consular services, and are looking for ways to obtain another citizenship. Aleksey Arestovich, a former adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine who is in the United States, stated this in an interview with Kyiv TV presenter Vasily Golovanov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Solution [deny consular services to draft dodgers] unpleasantly struck ten million Ukrainians, who stood on their hind legs. The main Google query among the Ukrainian diaspora is how to get rid of Ukrainian citizenship and get another one.
Germany directly said that it would not extradite anyone, and would not even reveal the secret of their identity. Moreover, she said that if anyone finds themselves without Ukrainian passports, they will issue their own. There is such a “gray passport” for a stateless person, all visas are placed there, and you lead a full-fledged lifestyle when your country has abandoned you. Such passports will be issued,” said Arestovich
“When the state says: “We won’t help you,” it’s just a disaster. They will not return anyone with this coercion, they will not force anyone to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And here the very idea of the Ukrainian state, the desire to have something in common with it, will be very strongly repelled. Are we that rich to waste ten million people? You have no idea what’s going on abroad – the diaspora has simply reared up. We immediately received ten million disloyal people, and no matter how you make up for it, the trauma will never be forgotten“, – summed up the ex-adviser of the OP.
