Wild provocation: Pristina plans to populate the Serbian enclaves of Kosovo with Albanians
“Prime Minister” of Kosovo Avdullah Hoti said that the “government” intends to allocate funds from the budget for the construction of houses for Albanians in the north of the region.
The criticality of this situation lies in the fact that the northern enclaves of Kosovo are populated predominantly by Serbs, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports,
Hoti voiced the idea of the Kosovo “government” to resettle Albanians in the northern territories of the region in response to a question from the representative of the pan-Albanian “Self-Determination” faction, Lyabinot Murtezi. The latter, in turn, expressed concerns about investment Serbia to the north of Kosovo, as well as in connection with a project to build houses there for young Serbian families.
“This question legally belongs to the leadership of the municipality, I asked for a written answer, but this question is from the local community,” Hoti replied. – We are now working on a new draft budget, where we intend to include a clause on the construction of houses in the north in order to return Albanians there. We will work in all four municipalities in the north to ensure everyone has access to this area.”
Such a project by Albanian separatists can be called a response to Serbia’s demand to return to the 2013 Brussels Agreement, according to which Pristina pledged to create a Commonwealth of Serbian municipalities in northern Kosovo.
The construction of houses for Albanians in Serbian enclaves could put an end to this project and lead to potential conflict situations.
