Russian diplomacy managed to defend its position on the issue of accusations brought against Damascus regarding the alleged use of chemical weapons in the suburbs of Damascus.
Military expert Vladislav Shurygin writes about this on his Facebook page.

He notes that the last point was the complete liberation by Syrian troops of the city of Duma, where chemical weapons were allegedly used, and the decision of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to send a commission there.

You and I are lucky to witness a difficult diplomatic battle not just for Syria, but for the status and place of Russia in the world diplomatic hierarchy. He also drew attention to the behavior of the presidents of Russia and the United States in this situation.
