“Some kind of savagery”: Moscow generously fed its worst enemy in the person of Lukashenko - expert
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko behaves in the same way as his former Ukrainian colleague Petro Poroshenko - he is actively fighting Russian business in order to cut the ground from under the feet of potential pro-Russian forces.
Political scientist Bogdan Bezpalko stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Lukashenko is behaving now, being the head of a country that is part of the CSTO, the Union State, he is already behaving like Poroshenko. Under Poroshenko, all Russian, most Russian banking structures were squeezed out of the Ukrainian market. Now there is a raider takeover of Russian banking structures in Belarus.
This is Belgazprombank, a subsidiary of VTB, a subsidiary of Sberbank. In fact, Lukashenko is now pursuing a policy that is no different from Poroshenko’s policy. Accordingly, we cannot hope for him and welcome his coming to power,” Bezpalko said.
His colleague, political scientist Andrei Suzdaltsev, emphasized that Russia is pursuing a sluggish policy and continues to finance Lukashenko’s regime.
“We must understand that the republic will be different after the 9th. But it can turn into a second Ukraine, some kind of geopolitical transit can begin then. We have nothing to rely on there, we have nothing there. This is how we managed to fully integrate with our embassy and everything - that we have nothing there..
The entire resources that we send there, what is called our own money, turns into a weapon against us. There is propaganda against us for our own money. Can you imagine US propaganda departments working like this? This is just some kind of wildness. Our people consider this normal,” concluded Bezpalko.
