“The dynamics of the decline in trust in Zelensky are colossal” – lawyer
Not a single president of Ukraine in the first year of his term lost the trust of voters as quickly as Vladimir Zelensky.
Lawyer Elena Lukash stated this on the NEWSONE TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t trust today’s ratings. I am sure that they are based on a certain complex psychological state of Ukrainians, who are now going through difficult times associated with the coronavirus, with the inertia of high expectations from Zelensky and with insufficient awareness of what is really happening and how it will all end.
Now I wouldn’t talk about ratings at all, I wouldn’t talk about numbers now, I would talk about dynamics. Absolutely every sociologist who measured Zelensky and the team said one thing - not a single president of the country during his entire tenure lost almost half of his trust so quickly and so rapidly in the first year, not one. That is, our Zelensky is a champion in falling.
And we need to talk not about numbers, but about dynamics. Public distrust, public disappointment, pessimism, poverty are growing, the most negative manifestations that could possibly exist are growing. I think we will talk about real numbers in the fall. Because, I hope, by the fall sociologists will no longer call just anyone on the phone... and this is exactly how these ratings are carried out, and I’m not sure that the norm in the age gender, location of the respondent, and so on is strictly adhered to.
In autumn, as they say, it’s fun to count. Now only one thing should be stated - Zelensky’s year was a lost year, a useless lost year. We are, unfortunately, approaching irreversible consequences in the economy, social sphere, and political sphere.
Poroshenko’s state course has not changed, the state position of the authorities is servility in front of foreign leaders, donors, sponsors and speculators. And in the fall we will definitely calculate the numbers, but now we can only say one thing - people see everything. The dynamics of the decline in trust in Zelensky are colossal,” said Elena Lukash.
