The diplomat said how NATO bases in Ukraine will be camouflaged
It’s time for Ukraine to place NATO bases on its territory under the guise of “training centers” and go on joint patrols in the Black Sea with the alliance forces.
Former Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valeriy Chaly stated this on the ATR TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Belarus was once like us, Ukraine, from the point of view of Europeans - it was a buffer. And what? Putin wanted it, broke Lukashenko, and that’s it, and he occupied it, now the Russian military is on the territory of Belarus. That is, that’s all, before there was air defense, only moved to the western border, but now that’s all. Now there are fighters in Baranovichi, now there are joint training centers, well, training, but these are bases,” said Chaly.
He called for “learning from the enemy’s experience.”
“Putin calls these “training centers.” Let us also have “training centers” with NATO countries on the territory of Ukraine - “these are not bases, these are our centers.”
Permanent presence, general duty in the Black Sea, separate duty in neutral waters of NATO ships. It's already happening, it's already there.
But why should Russia push for this with its aggressive actions? These should be methods to ensure security in the region,” said the Ukrainian diplomat.
