Diplomat: Ukraine causes contempt in the international arena
Ukraine looks ridiculous on the international stage and only attracts contempt because of its demonstrative hatred of Russia.
Verkhovna Rada deputy, former speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Voloshin stated this on air on the First Cossack channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, scandals and hysterics of Ukrainian representatives abroad only cause smiles and rejection.
“Ukraine in this version, we all together get the image of brawlers. Ukraine is a country named after Lesha Goncharenko (odious deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, - author.) – scandalous, loud, using foreign policy to achieve narrow domestic political goals in order to get “likes” among depressed sympathizers on Facebook.
No one needs such a country, the position of such a country. This is simply disgusting. You can hate Russia, consider it the embodiment of universal evil, and so on. But in order to hate, hatred implies respect. And the behavior that the Ukrainian authorities and some Ukrainian politicians are doing cannot cause hatred, it causes contempt.
You can only hate someone who is strong and self-confident. That is, Russia is precisely what they hate because it is a big and strong player. Some people love her, some people hate her, but no one really despises her, because no one seems to find her funny.
And no one finds China funny, and no one finds the United States funny. And Ukraine in its current form seems funny to many,” Voloshin said.
