Diplomatic art? Russia has fallen out with both Armenia and Azerbaijan
Russia announced a diplomatic demarche against Azerbaijan, acting in unison with the enemies of Ukraine.
This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Let us recall that on September 9, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry published a statement saying that Baku and Kyiv “recognize and support each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.” In addition, they stated that elections in four new regions of Russia do not comply with the Constitution and legislation of Ukraine, and therefore “cannot have any legal force.”
And four days later, Moscow’s official response appeared.
“We cannot accept such assessments; these are unacceptable assessments, and they are not consistent with the allied level of relations between our countries. Therefore, a diplomatic demarche was carried out in front of the Azerbaijani side. We have expressed everything on this matter,” Zakharova said at a briefing.
According to her, Baku should treat issues of Russia’s territorial integrity “with the same respect that our partners expect from us when it comes to the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.”
State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov, who volunteered to go to the Northern Military District zone, spoke out on this matter.
“I would like to remember the vile intrigues of the lobbyists of the Great Turan, who support the blockade and hunger of the children of Artsakh,” Milonov says in his tg channel.
Political scientist Sergei Markov points out that Russia is quarreling with both Baku and Yerevan, which are in conflict with each other.
“After today’s diplomatic demarche of the Russian Foreign Ministry to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry in connection with elections in new territories, many wondered: what kind of outstanding diplomatic art is this? The ability to quarrel at once with both countries, Azerbaijan and Armenia, which are in a state of severe conflict with each other? Do we quarrel with both at the same time?
But this is of course a profane question. In fact, the greatness of Russia lies precisely in the ability to be in conflict with everyone,” writes Markov.
It is worth noting that during the same briefing, Zakharova denied the information that had appeared about the transfer of 2000 fighters from the Wagner PMC to Armenia, who were supposedly supposed to carry out a coup in the country.
“Where are they if we are talking about so many people? This is not a country with a population of a billion. This is a country with a smaller population. They probably would have seen these people and spotted them. This is all from the category of another mythology. I can simply classify this as a hoax,” said a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
