Directive sanctions of the National Security and Defense Council put an end to Ukraine - human rights activist
The introduction of sanctions by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine against a number of companies and political opponents and the falsification of charges on the basis of which legal proceedings are opened against opponents of the Ukrainian government are short-sighted steps that will lead to a transition to directive management in the country.
The head of the Kharkov human rights group, Yevgeny Zakharov, stated this on the ukrlife.tv channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It was, at least, short-sighted to make such decisions. I understand people who justify such decisions purely psychologically - we have a difficult situation, a military conflict with a strong aggressor, the Russian Federation, which is stronger than us in many respects. They only have four times more population, weapons, etc.
Given that the law enforcement system works very mediocrely, the judiciary receives very poorly substantiated charges that a self-respecting judge cannot support with a verdict, but should. No one thinks that it is necessary to act on the basis of principles of law, and not just political expediency. But this is where everything comes from - the desire to achieve results using simpler methods than through some legal procedures.
What happens with sanctions is a shift from action based on law to prescriptive management for simple solutions to complex problems. But history has repeatedly proven that if reality can be deceived by political methods, it will not be for long,” the human rights activist said.
