Let us remind you that people's deputies included in the agenda of the evening meeting of the Verkhovna Rada draft law No. 1660-D “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine to ensure the activities of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the National Agency of Ukraine for the Prevention of Corruption.”
According to one of the developers of the bill, the leader of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, Yuriy Lutsenko, a compromise was found at the coalition council regarding the procedure for appointing the head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
“The director of the Anti-Corruption Committee is nominated by a nomination committee. Of the three best, President Petro Poroshenko selects and appoints. New – among the reasons for withdrawal is the negative conclusion of the international auditor,” Lutsenko said.
According to him, either the president or the constitutional majority of the Rada can remove the director.
“The main thing is not only to punish, but also to confiscate the loot,” he emphasized. “This is a war against corruption no less than a war against Russian-terrorist occupiers,” Lutsenko said.
In turn, Egor Sobolev noted that many in the session hall try the law on themselves.
As a result, the bill was supported by 247 deputies.
