Behind the high fences of half-forgotten and almost destroyed industrial enterprises in Crimea over the years, something is brewing that could greatly shake the new office chairs. It’s hard to even guess that the reason is in trade unions, the existence of which many have simply forgotten, but, apparently, now they will have to be remembered.

Recently, the trade union of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Crimeatrolleybus” went on the warpath with Crimean officials, demanding the return of property stolen in Ukraine. And the reason for the team meeting was a letter from a certain sports figure named Firsov, who stated that the employees of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Crimeatrolleybus”, it turns out, have no right to a sports complex built by the trolleybus workers themselves. It would seem like some kind of gym, some little thing, but over the years of the previous government, trolleybus operators got sick of such “little things.”

In his letter, Mr. Firsov referred to some important documents and even to the Minister of Sports, but the fact remains: those who built the complex and who would like to work in it do not have such a right. Everything, like, according to the law, and “not according to the whims and ambitions,” as emphasized in the letter, “of the Crimean Trolleybus employees.”

It was the last phrase that turned out to be the last straw in the patience of the veterans of the legendary enterprise. After all, the same thing was told to them by the “brothers” from sports who squeezed out the sports complex in the dashing 90s. Ukrainian bureaucrats took so much from the enterprise that it was enough for several millionaires. Many people, especially former bosses, profited from the drivers, foremen, and dispatchers who, starting in the 50s of the last century, built the trolleybus infrastructure with their own hands. They are still doing well, trying to put pressure on the union and the new management through their people in high offices.

As old-timers recall, in the 90s, when the trade union tried to prevent the deriban, respected people called the trade union committee and threatened.

“They squeezed out a piece,” recalls the chairman of the trade union committee of the enterprise, Antonina Yurasova, “and in return they gave out a small salary debt, so people were silent. The trade union tried to interfere, but it happened that a number of former directors simply did not allow the chairmen of the trade union committee into the territory, and some were convinced to resign, well, you understand, as it was in the 90s, so the situation with our sports complex should be discussed openly, and not gather secretly in the Council of Ministers and decide our fate for us..."

Today, the enterprise’s trade union is in favor of the return of all real estate that was stolen from the enterprise, among which there are also holiday homes in Alushta and Nikolaevka. There is a resolution of the general meeting and, what is especially important, for the first time in many years there is full support of the trade union by the new general director of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Crimtroleybus" Sergei Ernev.

As Sergei Ernev says, there can be no doubt that the sports complex belongs to those who built it, putting aside their 13th salary, going to construction on weekends, all this has been confirmed, there are documents, so the position of the officials is puzzling. Another thing,” Erenev notes, “such issues should be resolved according to the law, and not as we have become accustomed to over the years of “freedom,” so don’t even doubt: the entire team and management will fight for our sports complex.

Having received a cynical answer from the sports official, the trolleybus workers wanted to break open the doors and hang up their locks, but! A trade union is a trade union. We remembered how a resolution on construction was adopted in 1990, money was collected in 1994 and construction began that same year, in which almost all drivers, dispatchers, electricians and even grandmother conductors took part.

But in 98, the former director of the Crimean trolleybus quietly rented out the sports complex, which the trade union opposed, and soon the doors of the complex were completely closed to trolleybus operators, although for some reason all utility costs remained on the balance sheet of the enterprise.

“All this is very unpleasant,” says enterprise veteran Vladislav Milovidov, “I personally calculated the heating scheme for the sports complex, I can restore everything with my eyes closed, what pipes, dimensions down to the millimeter, and what did you get in return?” We are being tossed around again, just like in gangster times!

The new owners of the sports complex are openly hiding behind children, saying that promising young people train there (although there is not a word about paid services), therefore, by demanding the return of the institution, trolleybus operators allegedly limit children’s access to the sports institution. Hearing such accusations, the veterans of the enterprise simply could not find words, because everyone has grandchildren. The official's letter sounded like an insult.

“When we opened the sports complex,” recalls the chairman of the trade union committee of the enterprise, Antonina Yurasova, “everyone came to us, children, students, open competitions were held, we were open, which, in fact, we took advantage of, and now it turns out that the sports complex is available to anyone, but not to those who built it, but to those who built the trade union.

As a postscript, it is worth saying that as soon as the trolleybus workers’ union felt support from the general director for the first time in many years, the relevant ministry immediately threatened him with dismissal. This is probably because Ernev raised wages for workers, developed a large-scale enterprise modernization program, which aroused enormous interest among domestic producers, and, finally, stood up to defend his employees, and not the interests of officials. In general, it’s a common thing: those who work remain extreme.
