“The most pressing issue is raising money. Extortions continue, complaints continue. The funds that were created to support schools and repairs are not correct. I will ask you to stop and forget this tradition,” Menyailo addressed the directors.
As an example, he named the situation in school No. 24, where protests against extortion took place - “the conflict spilled beyond the borders of Sevastopol to the level of Russia.” Kindergarten No. 124 was also noted, the head of which distributed a shopping list to parents, including toilet paper and detergents.
This formulation of the question caused a sudden reaction from the assembled directors, who clearly expressed dissatisfaction with the new situation.
Suddenly the hall exploded with loud indignation and shouts from the seats in defense of parents' fundraising for the needs of schools and kindergartens. Due to the hubbub in the hall, dialogue was impossible, but finally, the teachers were able to formulate their arguments.
“The list that teachers give is necessary for organizing the educational process,” said Ekaterina Stepanenko (school no. 14).
“Nobody ever gave us toilet paper in an organized manner. How to go to the toilet? – exclaimed another participant in the meeting.
In response, Menyailo said that heads of educational institutions should submit a financial application to the education department. As a result, there will be a budget adjustment towards increasing funds for education.
