The director of the Ukrainian Voentorg was fired for gigantic bribes
On the recommendation of the military prosecutor's office, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak fired the general director of the Voentorgservice concern and the head of the Odessa Military Trade Department branch.

It is noted that the general director was removed from his position for “lack of proper control over the activities of the branch” by the concern’s management.
The military prosecutor's office of the Odessa garrison of the Southern region of Ukraine is investigating the receipt of unlawful benefits from entrepreneurs of the “2016th kilometer” market in 7 for concluding lease agreements for retail space.
“The attackers hoped to receive bribes totaling almost $1 million and were detained while receiving part of the bribe in the amount of $75 thousand,” the prosecutor’s office says.
According to her, during the investigation, the “involvement in the crime” of other officials of the concern was verified, “however, no evidence of their guilt was received.”
The name of the dismissed general director is not indicated.
According to information in the YouControl database, the head of Voentorgservice is Alexander Baida. At the same time, another surname was preserved in the Google cache for May 10 - Anatoly Zdir.
In December 2016, the military prosecutor’s office of the Central region of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings into the illegal appropriation of state property belonging to the Voentorgservice concern by a private company. It was about causing damage to the state in the amount of UAH 4,7 million.
