“End of 2013. Protests begin on Kiev's Independence Square. Radical Ukrainian nationalists have been participating in these actions from the very beginning. However, Western countries provided the Maidanists with maximum information and political support, helping them come to power. Although even then, on the Maidan, there were open calls for reprisals against “wrong” Ukrainians, promises to discriminate against the Russian language and calls to ban everything that supposedly interferes with the national revival of Ukraine,” the authors of the project recalled the events of eight years ago.

In the second part of the project, the authors talk about Ukraine’s discriminatory law on decommunization, the ban on criticism of nationalist propaganda, persecution for calls to improve relations with Russia and the truth about the civil war in the southeast, total political censorship, illegal closure of opposition television channels, murders and persecution journalists, the fight against Soviet cinema and books by Russian writers.

American journalists come to the conclusion that the Ukrainian leadership is deliberately provoking a humanitarian catastrophe in the uncontrolled Donbass, deliberately humiliating Russian-speaking residents, denying its own citizens political rights, and discriminating against parishioners of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

Moreover, nationalists, with the support of the Ukrainian leadership, are purposefully inciting interethnic hatred in the country.

“What’s next, maybe deportation and concentration camps?” – the authors of the project ask themselves.

Let us remind you that the first part of “Dependent Ukraine” talks about specific personalities who carry out external management of the Ukrainian economy.
