Sabotage: 19 cars were derailed in the Ryazan region
As a result of sabotage in the morning in the Ryazan region, 19 carriages of a freight train derailed, the press service of the Moscow Railway reports.
“Today at 07:12 on the Rybnoye – Block Post section, according to preliminary information, as a result of the intervention of unauthorized persons in the operation of railway transport, 19 freight train cars derailed. As a result of the incident, the assistant driver received minor injuries; a team of doctors was called to assist him. There is no threat to the environment,” the message says.
The situation does not affect the movement of passenger and commuter trains. Restoration work is underway.
Ryazan media report that literally before the emergency on the railway, city residents heard the sound of an explosion - this happened at approximately 7:06-7:07.
“Russian Railways, optimized for peacetime, clearly cannot cope with security. The Ministry of Railways has always been a paramilitary structure (in fact, much more effective than the army), given the strategic importance of railways for Russia. With its own repair base, construction, personnel training and paramilitary security,” comments radio host Sergei Mardan.
