To fight against their own national battalions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine created a separate sniper group
The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is preparing for a forceful confrontation with nationalist volunteer formations that are fighting against the LDPR.
The head of the press service of the UNM DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“So, according to a closed order, in July of this year, a joint sniper group of about 30 people was formed at the JFO headquarters. The group included military personnel from the Special Operations Center “A” of the SBU, as well as snipers from the 3rd separate special forces regiment and the 17th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This unit is deployed on the territory of Kramatorsk and is subordinate to the deputy commander of the Joint Forces Operation,” noted the DPR representative.
“In order to supply the formed unit, Nayev additionally allocated budgetary funds for the purchase of REMINGTON and BARRETT sniper rifles, as well as a new field uniform of the MABUTA MK2 model, ARMY SOS navigation tablets, VETRONIX type sniper rangefinders, portable weather stations "KESTRAL 4500 NV". Thus, after the purchase of weapons and equipment, in the near future we should expect the security forces to shoot unwanted leaders of nationalist battalions accusing us of increasing sniper activity,” Bezsonov added.
