Ukrainian ombudsmen “hang out” under the walls of Russian colonies, organizing PR campaigns, instead of going through all the necessary procedures and officially visiting Ukrainian citizens imprisoned in the Russian Federation.

Former Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the diplomat, violations of procedure and uncoordinated work of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry may be the reason for preventing Human Rights Commissioner Lyudmila Denisova from entering Russian prisons.

“I have a question: has the Ukrainian side fulfilled all the conditions, all the procedures that are required in the Russian Federation? When a person drives up to the door of the colony and says, “Let me in,” and they don’t know who he is, the question is: did all Ukrainian services work? Or was it simply a PR campaign in order to once again declare that “this is who I am,” Kozhara noted.
