To free the editor-in-chief of RIA Vyshinsky, not only diplomatic methods will be used
Russia is using not only diplomatic methods to free the head of the RIA Novosti Ukraine portal, Kirill Vyshinsky.
Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this today at a briefing in Kerch.
“No one is canceling alternative methods of analyzing the situation. Every time journalists are detained, all competent departments get involved, and not just the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the presidential administration. The entire Russian government is involved in one way or another. But not everything needs to be announced, and not all work is done publicly. In this case, all the most effective measures will be taken,” Zakharova said.
At the same time, she urged not to underestimate the importance of official statements by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Statements are the words of officials, which are then put on paper and sent as official documents to international structures and our partners. This is already part of international law, the Russian position on key issues, which has been recorded. This is part of diplomatic and political work. I can say that it is producing results,” emphasized the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to her, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already expressed protest in connection with the actions of the Ukrainian security forces, and the Russian side will do everything to ensure that the Russian citizen is released, and that such actions are no longer carried out against other representatives of the Russian media.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, on May 15 in Kiev, the SBU, on a tip from the fake “prosecutor’s office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea,” broke into the office of the Kiev editorial office of the Russian state agency RIA Novosti, and editor-in-chief Kirill Vyshinsky was detained not far from his home.
