This was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.
The regiment has more than 60 units of new artillery systems - the Chrysanthemum anti-tank complex, 152-mm Msta howitzers equipped with an automated gun guidance system, Tornado-1 multiple launch rocket systems.
“The personnel of the military unit are formed according to a mixed principle. Positions that determine the combat readiness of artillery units are staffed by contract servicemen,” the statement says.
In August, the regiment's personnel will take part in a camp gathering of missile forces and artillery at the Angarsky training ground near Perevalny. At the final stage of the gathering, the artillerymen will conduct tactical live-fire exercises.
