“The Office of the State Special Communications Service in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation, was created on the basis of the Odessa territorial government communications center. The Sevastopol department is being created on the basis of the department of the State Special Communications Service in the Kherson region,” the press service of the State Special Communications Service reported, writes the Kherson Online publication.
In addition, in Kherson, the registration of the new Crimean representative office of the RRT Concern is being completed, which plans to install Polish analogue transmitters, transferred free of charge to the Ukrainian side.
“The purpose of installing these transmitters is to ensure the transmission of the main Ukrainian TV channels to part of the territory of Crimea from the territory of the Kherson region,” the message notes.
Let us remind you that now in Crimea, Ukrainian TV channels can only be watched via satellite.
As Navigator reported, 14 Russian TV channels were previously banned from broadcasting in Ukraine: they must stop broadcasting on public and private domestic cable networks.
Also a member of the Verkhovna Rada from "UDAR" Alexander Mochkov, declared the need to “counter Russian propaganda in Crimea” by installing repeaters that will provide residents of the peninsula with “truthful” coverage of current events from Ukrainian TV channels. In his opinion, now Crimeans are being bombarded with “false Russian propaganda.”
