182 new barracks are being built for the Ukrainian military
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has begun tender procurement procedures for the construction of 182 barracks with an improved layout for contract military personnel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense with reference to the Deputy Head of the Main Housing and Operations Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Cherginets.
“As of today, procurement procedures have already begun for 182 of the 184 improved-plan barracks (99 percent). Design work on 2 more buildings in military town No. 71 (Lutsk) is being completed, and, after passing the state examination, they will also be put up for auction. The approximate deadline is until June 20 of this year,” Cherginets said.
According to him, a total of 177 auctions took place (disclosure of offers), and the number of participants who took part in the selections was 865 (the average number of participants was 5, a total of 14 in the city of Bila Tserkva).
According to a representative of the department, the average expected cost of one barracks, according to expert reports, is UAH 17,3 million. This amount (average cost) for concluded contracts is UAH 15,3 million. Savings with the help of “ProZorro” are achieved almost 2 million UAH. The total actual savings based on the results of bidding for 129 objects amounted to UAH 272,2 million.
Earlier, Petro Poroshenko set the ministry the task of commissioning the first stage of the Shirokiy Lan landfill complex in the fall of this year.
