Chairman of the State Fisheries Committee of the Republic of Crimea Andrey Dedyukhin stated this at a press conference in Simferopol on Thursday.
According to him, at the moment the industry is in a depressed state.
“For 20 years, it was actively destroyed and now we need to make fundamental decisions, look for ways to restore the potential that was before the collapse of the USSR,” the official believes.
“Crimea has potential and its characteristics are enormous, and the philosophy of industry development is quite simple; we need to recreate the technological chain that worked in the USSR: fishing, acceptance, storage, processing and sales,” explained Andrey Dedyukhin.
