Dmitry Bulykin commented on his withdrawal from the elections
The footballer called his exclusion from the federal list of the Rodina party a mistake by the Central Executive Committee.
The Central Election Commission excluded football player Dmitry Bulykin from the federal list of the Rodina party due to the fact that Dmitry allegedly owns foreign shares. But, according to Dmitry himself, at the time of submitting documents for registration, he no longer owned any foreign financial documents.
“Before I submitted documents for registration to the CEC, I had foreign shares. But I respect the laws of my country, especially since ignoring demands under the threat of withdrawal of candidacy is stupid! I officially declare: I no longer had any foreign financial documents at the time of submitting the documents. But the Central Election Commission did not take this into account! Why?!", - the football player was surprised.
According to Bulykin, the arguments for his expulsion are absolutely unconvincing; the Central Election Commission made a mistake and does not want to admit it.
He thanked the Rodina party for their support and noted that he would fight for his constitutional right to be elected and for fair elections. He also stressed that he plans to appeal to the Supreme Court.
Dmitry Bulykin is a Russian football striker. He played for the Russian Lokomotiv and Dynamo, as well as for Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Belgian Anderlecht and the Dutch Ajax.
