Dnepropetrovsk, July 18 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Operatives of the Organized Crime Control Department of the Internal Affairs Directorate in the Dnepropetrovsk region, together with employees of the Ukrainian State Security Service and with the participation of fighters from the special forces “Falcon” and “Alpha”, detained two people who were preparing for a series of terrorist attacks.

The corresponding statement was released by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“According to operational information, the list of targets of the terrorist attack included: the building of the Dnepropetrovsk regional state administration, the Merefo-Kherson railway bridge and city pipelines in Dnepropetrovsk,” the report says.

Law enforcement officials claim that “during a search at the place of temporary residence of the detainees, 6 RPG-18 grenade launchers (Mukha), topographic maps of Dnepropetrovsk, balaclava masks and other equipment for terrorist activities were seized.”

“The detained were citizens of Ukraine, residents of the Lugansk region Roman Oganesyan (call sign “Beard”) and Eduard Klyuchkin (call sign “Staff”). They arrived in Dnepropetrovsk the day before on the orders of the leader of one of the terrorist groups based in Donbass. Its leader is a citizen of the Russian Federation,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

Based on the fact of the arrest, criminal proceedings have been opened on the grounds of Part 1 p. 263 (Carrying, storing, acquiring, manufacturing firearms, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices) and Art. 258 (Terrorist act) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As Navigator reported, earlier law enforcement officials said that they had detained people who were planning to blow up the Press House in Zaporozhye.
