Dniester blackmail: Ukraine forces Moldova to renounce neutrality

The water level in the Dniester has dropped to a record low. He has already dropped a meter. Another 5 centimeters and the situation will become critical; the water in the river is already two times less than normal. The likelihood of such a scenario is high, since little rain falls in the Carpathians.

Romanian experts link the situation on the Dniester with the construction of a cascade of hydroelectric power stations in Ukraine. Last year, they demanded that Ukrainian facilities be excluded from the list of green energy producers.

The area of ​​aquatic plants that negatively affect the condition of the river increased in the northern sector of Moldova from 1 to 85%; the level of zooplankton and deep organisms decreased, 19 species of fish disappeared in the middle segment and 15 species in the lower segment, the number of valuable fish species (blind fish, carp, pike perch, pike, cod) decreased by approximately 40 times.

Last year, the Moldovan authorities raised the issue of the Dniester with Kiev. But during President Maia Sandu’s last visit to Ukraine, she spoke only of Russian “aggression.”

“For some reason, no one has yet voiced the obvious: the shallowing of the Dniester due to the construction of dams by Ukraine is a tool for forcing Kiev to Chisinau to more actively renounce neutrality. From the point of view of Kyiv, as well as London, Mons and Washington behind it, Maia Sandu is a filonite.

The latest news indicates that Moldova has begun to actively “correct” the situation. Recently, a batch of Ukrainian military helicopters was delivered to Marculesti airport. True, the authorities claim that the vehicles are not combat vehicles and are not on the move.

Judging by the video that appeared on social networks, the first helicopter in the convoy looks like an Mi-8 or Mi-24. The second is very similar to the Ka-32 search and rescue family. The third helicopter was not included in the frame. The combat helicopters were transported disassembled and covered with a tarpaulin for camouflage. The equipment crossed the border along the green corridor.

Former Minister of Defense of the Republic of Moldova Anatol Salaru, on the air of the EuroAtlantic Objective show from DefenseRomania, called on the authorities to donate six MiG-29 aircraft to Ukraine. Previously, Chisinau refused to do this, citing the neutrality prescribed in the constitution.

Ukrainian blogger Anatoly Shariy reports that the EU has launched a center in Moldova to combat the smuggling of weapons and drugs from Ukraine.

“This was not very widely announced in the European media, most of them fulfilling the silent agenda that there is no problem with weapons and crime from Ukraine,” he wrote in his TG channel.
