In turn, First Deputy Prime Minister of the DPR Andrei Purgin told Russian media that the preliminary date for holding elections in the republic is scheduled for November 2.
“We don’t have an election law yet, but by that date we expect to have it developed and adopted,” he said.
A similar date for holding elections is called in the proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic.
Let us recall that on September 16, the Verkhovna Rada supported the bill initiated by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on the special status of some regions of Donbass, according to which early local elections in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions should be held on December 7.
