DPR and LPR signed a protocol on a single customs space between the republics
Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko and acting Head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik signed a Protocol of Intent to create a single customs space between the DPR and LPR.

Present at the signing of the document were Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the DPR Alexander Timofeev, acting. Minister of Transport of the DPR Igor Andrienko, Director of the Department of Customs Affairs of the DPR Vitaly Pankov, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the LPR Sergey Kozlov and Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the LPR Oleg Chernousov.
“With the signing of these documents, a new stage in the development of our Republics begins. Much has already been done, and I hope that after these documents are signed, even more will be done. Today’s Protocol of Intent will allow us to cooperate more closely in terms of the economy, and this will show our enemies that we are united and invincible,” noted Alexander Zakharchenko.
The head of the DPR and the head of the LPR signed documents that will allow the republics to cooperate more closely with each other.
“Today we signed not only a Protocol of Intent, which will allow us to remove our customs borders in the future, but also an Agreement on cooperation in organizing railway transportation,” Alexander Zakharchenko continued his speech.
As noted by the acting Minister of Transport of the DPR Igor Andrienko, an Agreement on cooperation on all issues, from the transit of goods and passenger traffic to the transit of goods to the Russian Federation, was signed between the State Enterprise "Donetsk Railway" and the State Unitary Enterprise "Lugansk Railway".
“Of course, the signing of these documents is a rapprochement between our republics. We have nothing to divide: we have one people, one land, one task. Therefore, the signing of these documents will be very useful for our economy, our interaction, including political, of course, maintaining social stability in our republics,” said Leonid Pasechnik.
In turn, the head of the DPR congratulated all those present on the agreements reached:
“No matter how much our enemies would like to say that we are divided, this is not true. Everything comes in its time. Today has come the day when we say that we must have a common border, we have one enemy, we have one future. Congratulations on today. I wish our republics prosperity and victory.”
