Donetsk, May 15 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Speaker of the Supreme Council of the DPR Denis Pushilin does not exclude the possibility of holding negotiations with the Kyiv authorities on the exchange of prisoners.

He stated this during a live broadcast as part of the East + West project.

"First question. We must exchange hostages. And this can be done with the participation of intermediaries,” Pushilin said.

However, he could not name the exact number of people who were detained by the rioters.

“I won’t tell you the exact number now. Fortunately, this figure does not exceed hundreds - so far there are dozens. This is for now, unless the situation changes,” he noted, without specifying the conditions under which the exchange would be made.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine stated that the rioters held 125 people captive.

As Navigator reported, in early May, “People’s Governor” Pavel Gubarev and two other people were exchanged for Alpha officers.
