The DPR is ready not only to pay 5 thousand rubles of one-time assistance to veterans of the Great Patriotic War living in the currently controlled territories of Donbass, but also to invite front-line soldiers to the parade on Victory Day in Donetsk.
This was stated by the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, during a “direct line”, answering a question from a TV viewer from Druzhkovka about the possibility of inviting veterans.
“In addition to monetary assistance to veterans, could you invite them to your parade on Victory Day, they really lack this respect now?” - said the man.

“Our parade is common - it’s just as much your parade as ours. May 9 is a holiday for all people who remember their past. This is a small part of the gratitude that we owe to these people. I am pleased to invite all veterans of the Great Patriotic War on May 9 to the parade, to celebrate this saint for every holiday.
I understand perfectly well that we cannot take away each of the houses in which they live, but at the checkpoints - I will instruct the Minister of Transport to organize buses on this day that will take veterans to the parade and back to the checkpoints. We can do this, so we look forward to your visit.
The holiday is common. Victory was ours in 1945, I am sure that it will be in 2017, it is also ours,” Zakharchenko concluded.
