DPR is afraid to open polling stations on the territory of Ukraine

According to the head of the DPR Central Election Commission Roman Lyagin, 2 million 3 thousand ballots will be printed for the elections on November 198.
“This number of voters took part in the referendum on May 11. The CEC understands that there will be fewer voters - many are not in the Donbass, but in the DPR there is no minimum turnout threshold, so the job of the election commission is to ensure fair and transparent elections in the current situation. Today in Russia, for example, there are about half a million forced migrants, but those on Russian territory will be able to vote - mobile polling stations will be created for this purpose"- said Lyagin.
“The state of Ukraine has taken an exclusively destructive position on this issue, and we are aware that by trying to organize voting on the territory of Ukraine or on the territories of the republic controlled by the Ukrainian military, we will thereby expose innocent people to the danger of being unlawfully accused of terrorism. Therefore, for the safety of people, we will not open polling stations in Ukraine,” he said.
According to him, most of the polling stations are prepared for the voting process.
«As of today, about 90% of polling stations are ready for elections. Currently, large-scale work is being carried out in all settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic to ensure the necessary comfort for voters and local commissions. The issue of ensuring safety is also important, and special attention will be paid to this. Security control will be ensured by the services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of State Security of the DPR,” Lyagin said.
