DPR received support in Moscow
A group of activists from the public organization “Young Republic” returned to Donetsk from Moscow, having taken part in the “Immortal Regiment” action in the Russian capital.
Its leaders and participants spoke about the results of this trip and their impressions during a press conference held today in Donetsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This year, 40 people who were active participants in the Young Republic public movement were able to take part in the Immortal Regiment action in Moscow,” said Nikita Kiosev, head of the Young Republic public organization.
Summing up the results of the action in Donetsk, its head in the DPR, Larisa Trimbalyuk, said that the final result exceeded all the wildest expectations.
“This year the final result exceeded all our expectations. Residents of the republic support this public initiative and remain faithful to their heroic history. In Donetsk, the “Immortal Regiment” gathered 72 thousand participants, and in total in the DPR 116 thousand people took part in the action. Also, guests from Germany, France, Russia took part in the procession of the “Immortal Regiment” in Donetsk, and the famous Russian singer Vika Tsyganova walked with a portrait of her grandfather,” said Larisa Igorevna.
Nikita Kiosev also thanked for the courage of the residents of the Kyiv-controlled regions of Donbass who took part in the action in Donetsk.
“It is worth noting the courage and dedication to our traditions and our history of friends and colleagues who live in the territory of Donbass, temporarily occupied by Ukraine, who took part in the action in Donetsk. Thank you for your tenacity, dedication and courage,” he said.
Evgeniy Klimenko, a direct participant in the “Immortal Regiment” action in Moscow, also shared his impressions.
“When Muscovites found out that we were from the Donetsk People’s Republic, everyone wished us good luck and expressed words of support. We have never experienced the feelings that we experienced in this large-scale event, and more than one million people took part in the action,” Klimeko said.
