The DPR will help all regions of Ukraine achieve independence
The main vectors of development of the Donetsk People's Republic in the coming years are the development of comprehensive friendship with the Russian Federation, as well as assistance in gaining sovereignty and independence for other regions of Ukraine.
The head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, stated this while speaking at the congress of the Donetsk Republic Organization, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Under the conditions of war and blockade, we managed to preserve, develop and increase everything that was created by our people, our glorious ancestors. In a limited time, a full-fledged structure of legislative and executive power was built, a constitution was adopted, social movements and organizations were created and are operating. Most enterprises have been preserved and are operating in the Republic. Over four years, we have achieved growth in key economic indicators and began to develop new sectors of the national economy. From scattered militia units, we created a full-fledged combat-ready army capable of repelling the aggression of any enemy. The banking system is functioning, pensions and salaries are paid. Housing and communal services tariffs remained at pre-war levels, and 4-5 times lower than in Ukraine. Healthcare is the best in the region. The education and science system allows us to train highly qualified personnel. We managed to restore many social and cultural facilities, housing and businesses. We found the strength to help our citizens in the territory occupied by Ukraine, despite the attempts of the Kyiv regime to divide the people of Donbass,” summed up the Head of the Republic.
Alexander Zakharchenko also outlined prospects for the further development of the Republic in the coming years.
“In 2018, you and I will have to choose our future for the next 5 years. The Ukrainian authorities are trying with all their might to make us outcasts and separate us from the outside world. That is why dialogue is possible only after this government disappears and the whole of Ukraine is cleansed of the corrupt government that encourages nationalism and banditry.
The DPR will become a sovereign state. We are heading towards strengthening our independence and rapprochement with fraternal Russia. We defended our right to freedom and independence with arms in hand, and we will help achieve sovereignty and independence for other regions of Ukraine,” said Alexander Zakharchenko.
