These data were made public Donetsk News Agency with reference to the press service of the DPR Ministry of Transport.
“During the period from May 1 to May 26, 9028 wagons of coal were delivered to the territory of Ukraine. Taking into account the fact that one carriage holds about 70 tons, over the last month Ukrainian enterprises received about 631 thousand tons of black gold from the DPR,” the Ministry of Transport noted.
The press service of the department said that due to a series of explosions on the Yelenovka-Yuzhnodonbasskaya railway section, train traffic is still not carried out. In view of this, coal supplies are not carried out in the direction of Mariupol and the southern regions of Ukraine.
“All other sections of the railway connecting the Republic with territories not controlled by the DPR authorities are operating as usual,” the Ministry of Transport emphasized.
Previously, Ministry of Transport employees stated that in March and April 2015, DPR coal enterprises supplied approximately 387 thousand tons of coal to Ukraine. Ministry employees associate a significant increase in this indicator with the truce in Donbass.
