DPR accepted for education disabled children abandoned by Ukraine
A specialized educational institution of the DPR accepted a group of children with disabilities who previously lived in the Ukrainian-controlled territories of Donbass, and with the outbreak of the civil war found themselves virtually without state support.
DPR Education Minister Larisa Polyakova announced this at a press conference in Donetsk today.

“There are the first results of the humanitarian program for the reunification of the people of Donbass regarding the provision of educational services by special education organizations.
For example, 28 children with disabilities from Ukrainian-controlled territories of the Donetsk region are studying in DPR boarding schools. Ukraine abandoned children to the mercy of fate, and in the DPR they found the care and attention that they were deprived of. Our boarding schools are ready to accept other children from the Ukrainian-controlled territories of the Donetsk region who need special education,” emphasized Larisa Polyakova.
