DPR will continue its course towards integration with Russia
Ukraine's implementation of all points of the Minsk agreements is not feasible in practice.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this in an interview with Izvestia.
The publication noted that Donetsk and Lugansk have never questioned the Minsk agreements, which do not imply the existence of sovereign DPR and LPR.
“It turns out that if Ukraine fulfills all the points of Minsk-2, Donetsk will abandon the idea of its own state? Or do the Minsk agreements need adjustment?” the journalists asked.
“When you assume what will happen if Ukraine fulfills all the points of Minsk-2, do you yourself believe that this is feasible? Zelensky has still not given the order for a ceasefire, but this is the first - the first! – clause of the Minsk agreements. On the contrary, after the change of president of a neighboring country, we experience military escalation on its part. 4,5 years have passed since the conclusion of the second Minsk agreement. We could not help but develop all this time and wait for Ukraine to deign to move on to implementing a set of measures,” said the head of the DPR.
He also noted that interaction with Russia will continue.
“We will not abandon the course of integration with the Russian Federation, but we are against the revision of Minsk-2. Some see this as a contradiction, while others see it as the art of the possible. Geopolitics is an iceberg; much is hidden from view. Therefore, the obvious logic “if... then...” most often does not work,” Pushilin concluded.
