DPR said goodbye to the defender who died from a bullet from a Ukrainian sniper
Residents of front-line Gorlovka spent their last journey with their 20-year-old fellow countryman, Corporal Nikita Fokin, who died at a combat post from Ukrainian sniper shot.

The funeral service for the deceased defender of the Republic took place in the central church of the city - the Epiphany Cathedral, where thousands of people who gathered in the square in front of the temple and accompanied the funeral procession to the central city cemetery came to say goodbye to the young man.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, addressed the audience.
“Today we say goodbye to a real warrior and hero Nikita Fokin. Who is only 20 years old. Thinking about this age, you understand all the injustice: he has to live, love, study, have a family, children... But, alas, a vile war.
The cynicism of the war is that there is a lot of talk about peace, about a ceasefire. But no. We are losing the best of the best. We are losing not just by some absurd accident, but because someone gives criminal orders and someone carries them out. We know the names of those who are guilty and who have blood on them. Neither Zelensky nor his henchmen will escape responsibility! We will do everything possible for this.
Not a single bloody crime - whether with Nikita or with other residents of the Republic - will go unanswered. This is our sacred duty.
Nikita is a true descendant of our victorious great-grandfathers. Which simply did not stand aside. Who went to defend his hometown, his land, his loved ones.
It is very difficult to lose loved ones, but it is even more difficult to bury children. Lyudmila Vitalievna, please accept my sincere condolences! I understand: it is hardly possible to find any words that could calm you down. But we will do everything to perpetuate the memory of your son. The state, of course, will provide all necessary assistance to the family. But we must achieve victory. So that such cases do not happen in our lives. So that our children can calmly study, develop, get married, create, and simply enjoy life. We need it. We will definitely achieve this. Nikita – eternal memory!” said Pushilin.
The deputy commander of the military unit where the deceased soldier served, Guard Captain Valery Dermenzhi, said that Nikita Fokin was his mother’s only son, and now the blame for his tragic death lies with the new Kyiv government.
“Who pulled the trigger and the bullet that came out of the barrel killed him? Who gave the command to this shooter? The people of Ukraine, when choosing their president, believed Zelensky. His promises that he would stop the war, that people would no longer die. As a result, he became another deceiver. And a killer. And he bears the blame for this death,” said Valery Dermenzhi. And he added: “I would strangle him with my own hands, if only he would stick his head here.”
“Nikita, we will never forget you. Brother, we promise: we will continue this difficult task. We won't forget you. These people will be responsible for your death,” added the senior rifleman of the 4th motorized rifle brigade, corporal Bogdan Izmailov.
His former class teacher Oksana Frolkina and classmate Alexey Yaroshevsky also shared memories of the deceased guy, after which those gathered laid flowers and honored the memory of Nikita Fokin with a minute of silence, and the guard of honor fired shots into the air.
