DPR makes arrests in connection with the assassination attempt on Gubarev
Donetsk, October 16 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The militia headquarters announced the detention of suspects in the attempt on the life of Pavel Gubarev.

“Special services of the DPR detained several people in connection with the attempt on the life of Pavel Gubarev. The militia managed to detain several people and find evidence stolen from the crime scene. Investigators are working with the detainees. At the moment, Pavel Gubarev's condition is stable. His life is not in danger,” says a message from the militia headquarters posted in the “Reports from the Novorossiya militia” group.
There is no official information on this matter on Gubarev’s own page yet.
As PolitNavigator reported, yesterday there was the previously stolen car in which Gubarev was at the time of the attack was found.
Recall, October 12 socio-political movement “Novorossiya” was denied registration and participation in the upcoming elections in the proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic. Gubarev's car was fired upon near a checkpoint on the border with Russia, as a result of which he was hospitalized in a Rostov hospital. Political scientist Roman Manekin believes that what happened could have been PR. Gubarev’s associates say that the attack could have been carried out by a “Ukrainian sabotage group.”
