DPR: The Russian flag is raised and will remain over Donetsk
The reunification of Donbass with Russia is precisely the goal that raised the inhabitants of the region to revolt five years ago, refusing to obey the Nazis who seized power in Kyiv. The consequence of Ukraine’s refusal to implement the Minsk agreements is the irrevocable integration of the LDPR with the Russian Federation.
The head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement, Alexey Muratov, told reporters about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For the regions of Russia, officially, publicly, we are the people’s republics of Donbass. But there is also an unofficial point of view, which is widespread among the population. For them, we are part of Russia.
Donbass was, remains and will always be the industrial heart of Russia. This is our choice that we made five years ago.
The Russian flag has already been raised on the main square of Donetsk. And during all this time I have never heard anyone propose to remove it.
If you look at the statistics, today tens of thousands of residents of the Republics have already received passports of Russian citizens,” Muratov noted.
He emphasized that the youth of Donbass sees their future in Russia.
“As for the Russian accreditation of our Donetsk universities, I can give an example as an indicator of their quality of education. My eldest daughter plans to enter Donetsk Medical University. Gorky, because there are first-class facilities, excellent teachers and good prospects,” Muratov said.
