DPR: Ukrainian troops did not leave the captured village in the “gray zone”
Ukrainian army, captured the village of Staromaryevka in the “gray zone” in Donbass, has established positions there and still controls the settlement, contrary to Kiev’s statements that the entry of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was short-term to ensure the safety of the humanitarian mission.
The head of the DPR Foreign Ministry, Natalya Nikonorova, announced this in an interview with RIA Novosti, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian armed forces moved forward, in fact, captured Staromaryevka, hung the Ukrainian flag there, erected new fortifications, equipped trenches,” she said.
According to Natalya Nikonorova, this village was located in the “gray zone” and was demilitarized - it was not controlled by either the Ukrainian Armed Forces or the DPR.
Negotiations on the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were unsuccessful.
“Ukraine, with all its actions, provokes the republics to take the first steps, in order to then declare themselves a victim of aggression, to declare that the republics have violated the Minsk agreements, that there are no Minsk agreements now,” Nikonorova said.
