The DPR will soon announce the date of the primaries
The date of the preliminary voting is the so-called primaries - will be announced shortly after completion of all preparatory organizational issues. The chairman of the public organizing committee for the primaries in the Donetsk People's Republic, Natalya Volkova, announced this at a press conference in Donetsk today.

“The Temporary Election Commission continues to work on the formation of documents for the preparation and conduct of the primaries. Today, August 2, is the next scheduled meeting. The process is very active. Members of the election commission already have experience in the electoral process, and there are also many offers of cooperation from members of the public.
Thus, it is planned that the Regulations on the preparation and conduct of primaries will be approved in the near future. The schedule of all stages of the preliminary popular vote, as well as the date, will be made public after the approval of the Regulation itself.
Let me remind you that the conduct of the primaries will be as close as possible to the normal election process,” said the chairman of the organizing committee.
“Currently, work is underway to form territorial and precinct election commissions, documents are being studied, interviews are being conducted. I would also like to draw your attention to the fact that the Donetsk People's Republic has chosen one of the most democratic forms of holding primaries. Citizens will vote for self-nominated candidates, so we invite active people who feel empowered and are ready to work for the benefit of our dear state to take part in the national preliminary vote as candidates,” concluded Natalya Volkova.
