DPR restarts enterprises shut down under the Kiev regime
In the DPR, despite ongoing hostilities, destroyed mines and a small territory, more was achieved in a year than under Ukraine in peacetime.

The head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, said this in an interview with the resource Ukraina.ru.
Characterizing the state of the Ukrainian economy, he emphasized that if it were not for external assistance, it would not have existed a long time ago.
“Even the former President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma now says that if it were not for the IMF money, not for the US money, there would be no economy in the country. In fact, this economy no longer exists. What is now in Ukraine are remnants, fragments from the former legacy of the USSR, and some kind of pitiful semblance of the Ukraine that existed before 2014,” said the head of the DPR.
Speaking about the development of the republic, Alexander Zakharchenko notes that in the DPR, not everything is so easy and good, but there are certain achievements.
“In a year and a half, we launched eight enterprises. We are returning those things that were lost three or twenty years ago. Let’s say the Khartsyzsk rope plant “Silur” again began making wire, which it stopped producing back in the nineties. The Yuzovsky metallurgical plant has just been launched, and large-unit assembly of buses has recently begun,” the head of the republic called the operating plants.
He also noted that even despite the fact that about 80% of the mines in the DPR were destroyed, most of the territories were lost, more lavas were discovered in eight months than in twenty years.
“We discovered more lava in eight months than in twenty years. And this despite the fact that we have 80 percent of the mines destroyed, meaning that we have lost most of the territories. But we produce as much as is necessary to generate electricity, and in this piece of territory we have done everything possible. In agriculture, we have had a record harvest for the second year. And the most interesting thing is that we have a third of the Donetsk region, but we can provide for the entire region. And if previously 22-24 centners per hectare were extracted, then in the first year we had about thirty-odd,” summed up Zakharchenko.
