This is one of the results of the extended meeting of the People's Council of the Republic Committee on Transport and Communications held today in Donetsk. In addition, during the meeting, issues of combating illegal transportation to the Ukrainian side and improving the quality of transport between the DPR, LPR and Russia were discussed.
The day before, the press service of the DPR Ministry of Transport made a statement about the signing of an agreement with the Republic of Abkhazia on the opening of an international bus service between Donetsk (DPR) and Sukhum (Abkhazia). The press service also announced progress on the issue of opening a railway connection between the DPR and Abkhazia.
A commentary on the methods of combating illegal transportation to the Ukrainian side and on the signed agreements with the Republic of Abkhazia was given to the PolitNavigator correspondent by the deputy chairman of the People's Council Committee on Transport and Communications, deputy of the People's Council of the DPR Sergei Sverchkov.
