The head of the Sevastopol health department, Dr. Yuri Voskanyan, stated this on the First Sevastopol TV channel.
According to him, a system of compulsory health insurance is being introduced in Sevastopol and work is underway to provide the population with medical policies.
“The fact that someone doesn’t have a policy should not scare Sevastopol residents, because funding is provided through government subsidies, i.e. the system will start working on January 1,” the official noted.
“The government and the Ministry of Finance have allocated 388 million rubles in order to increase the “per capita standard” from 2,2 thousand to 10 thousand rubles according to Russian standards,” Voskanyan explained.
According to him, the “capita standard” indicator refers to the amount of funds allocated in the health insurance system per insured person.
“In addition, the state has allocated huge subsidies in order to transfer all medical institutions and the entire system of preferential provision of medicines to a free supply of medicines and consumables in June,” Yuri Voskanyan emphasized.
