It finally began to dawn on the majority of Ukrainians that it is better not to quarrel with Russia
If the majority of Ukrainian citizens oppose the severance of diplomatic relations and are in favor of continuing economic relations with the Russian Federation, then the authorities must take their opinion into account.

This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and ex-Ambassador of Ukraine in Moscow Konstantin Grishchenko, who pointed out relevant opinion poll Ukrainian Razumkov Center.
“Whatever policy, whatever line the Ukrainian state builds in relations with Russia, it must be based on a broad, if not public consensus, then at least the support of the majority. When there is no such support, no matter who the president is, no matter who is in the government, he will be limited in his ability to pursue this or that line,” the diplomat is sure.
“If after two years of armed conflict in Ukraine there is still a huge layer (and today the majority) of those who advocate maintaining diplomatic relations, for trade without restrictions, this has to be taken into account, no matter what anyone wants. Why this level of support? Probably not always consciously, but quite, I would say, rationally, the majority in Ukraine feels that they will have to live with such a neighbor - they don’t choose their neighbors - one way or another. And living constantly in conflict will probably involve having to pay a huge price,” concluded Grishchenko.
