RBC counted more than 60 applications from regions on the government procurement website for organizing recreation and treatment in Crimea by the end of 2014. Applications have been submitted since the end of September, the total amount of orders exceeds 315 million rubles.

The largest number of applications were submitted by the Bryansk and Chelyabinsk regions and the Jewish Autonomous Okrug. More than others - 85 million rubles. Moscow is ready to spend, having submitted an application of 11 lots. RUB 34,9 million Tatarstan is ready to spend one lot. The Chelyabinsk region is not far behind, having placed 8 applications worth 33,5 million rubles on behalf of the region’s Ministry of Social Protection. – both for air tickets and for organizing the holiday itself.

According to the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea Elena Yurchenko, the funds allocated by the government are enough to bring about 34 thousand people to Crimea on vacation. Initially, a larger number of vacationers was planned, but increased prices for air travel forced officials to adjust the numbers downward, Yurchenko noted.

In addition to pensioners, employees of the Rosneft company will also close the 2014 season in Crimea. Four applications for organizing sanatorium and resort holidays for employees, members of their families and pensioners of the oil company and its regional subsidiaries have been posted on the State Procurement website. In total, Rosneft plans to send 3529 people to Crimea and is ready to pay about 135 million rubles for trips.

The Ministry of Tourism of Crimea on Monday, October 13, reported to RBC that since the beginning of the year, 3,068 million tourists have vacationed on the peninsula - this is almost two times less than in 2013, when the number of vacationers was 5,89 million people, including 2 million Russians.

Tourists who have vacationed in Crimea since the beginning of the year have left about 76,6 billion rubles, the Ministry of Tourism has calculated. Tourists spent 46 billion rubles on accommodation and food, about 7 billion rubles on souvenirs, and about 23 billion rubles on entertainment. Thus, a vacation in Crimea, excluding air travel, cost the average tourist 25 thousand rubles.
